Central Laboratory of Medical Devices CELAMED hereinafter referred to as the Laboratory deals with measurement and research activities in the field of electrical safety, basic functioning and electromagnetic compatibility of medical electrical devices and medical electrical systems. The Laboratory’s experience in range of research of medical and non-medical electrical equipment reaches 30 years.

Electromagnetic compatibility tests (EMC)

The Laboratory performs EMC tests to meet the essential requirements for electromagnetic compatibility (immunity to continuous and transient disturbances and emission tests for radio-frequency disturbances).

Electrical safety and basic functioning tests

Tests conducted by the Laboratory concern the examination of the conformity of products with EU directives. These are studies that aim to meet essential requirements in terms of basic safety and essential performance.

The Laboratory performs calibration of the devices in the field of electrical quantities (current, DC voltage, AC, resistance) and in the field of time and frequency. Calibration includes DC and AC voltage and current generators and calibrators, fixed and adjustable resistors, voltage, current and resistance meters, multimeters and oscilloscopes, time and frequency generators, time and frequency meters.
